Our Mission
Village Tea Hut is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and sharing the practice of tea as a means of education, community connection, service, and personal reflection.
Our mission is to make the practice and traditions of tea accessible to the public and to provide a welcoming community space where people can learn, practice, serve, and gather together.
Our Story
Since 2023, Village Tea Hut has offered nonprofit public tea ceremonies and educational experiences centered around the practice of tea.
Our space was created as a gathering place where people can experience tea firsthand—both as guests receiving tea and as hosts learning to serve others. What began as a place to share tea has grown into an ongoing community dedicated to practice, service, and connection.
What We Do
Public Tea Ceremonies
We offer ongoing tea ceremonies that are open to the public, providing opportunities for people to experience the practice of tea.
Tea Education
Our space is used to provide education in the preparation, serving, and ceremonial experience of drinking of tea.
Community Practice & Service
Village Tea Hut provides opportunities for people to deepen their practice by learning to prepare and serve tea to others. Community members may participate as guests, students, and service team members allowing the practice to be passed from person to person.
Community Gathering Space
We maintain a welcoming environment where people can connect with themselves, one another, and Nature through tea.
Tea & Teaware
Our retail space connects our community with teas and teaware used in the practice of tea. This supports participants in continuing what they learn at Village Tea Hut at home and sharing the practice with others in their own communities.
Our Nonprofit
Village Tea Hut is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to education, community service, and making the practice of tea available to the public.
